5 Ways to Safely Detox

Detoxing your body is a great way to reboot your system. Every part of your body will be thankful, from your digestive system to your skin, and your lungs to your liver. While cleansing your body does a lot of good, doing it the wrong way can be harmful. That is why we have found 5 ways to safely detox that will help your body instead of hurting it. There is no need for pills, or a powdered substance when there are so many simple ways to make your body happier.

1.Drink More Water
One of the best things you can do for your body is drink water. It is such an easy thing to do and you will see many benefits from it. Drinking a good amount of water each day will clear your skin, promote smooth digestion, and help the flow of waste from your body. You can even spruce up your water with juice from a lemon, cucumber and mint, or strawberries. It is even worth it to buy a fruit infuser water bottle, it makes the process a lot easier and looks good too, which never hurts.

2. Sweat it Out
Sweating is a great toxin releaser. Taking some time in a sauna is a great way to release toxins out of your skin and give you an energy boost. It is great to do after a gym session, a massage, or just a long day at work or school. Maybe even go for a run, this will make you sweat and add some exercise to your day too. Your skin is a big part of your health. Brush dead skin off and keep your skin hydrated to ensure you are treating the outside of your body as well as you treat the inside.

3. Learn to Breathe
Breathing is a big part of detoxing. Something as simple as practicing breathing exercises every morning and night can make a big difference in your lungs. While being helpful to your body, it is also helpful to your mind and spirit. Taking the stress of the day and breathing it out of your system can clear your mind and put you in a better mood. It might seem silly, but you will see a difference. Another great combination for this is yoga. Yoga is a great way to learn good breathing techniques as well as getting some exercise in.

4. Watch Your Food
Choosing to put the right foods in your body is an important part of detoxing. Some people think in order to detox you need to only digest liquid or vegetables for 48 hours. This is not the case. Simply changing up your diet can detox your body in a safe and healthy way. Cutting out sugar is a huge factor in detoxing. Eating a lot of sugar puts a strain on your pancreas to make more insulin and can harm you in the long run. It is also a good idea to eat more organic foods. Organic foods contain a lot more protein and a lot less chemicals that processed foods.

5. Drink Some Tea
Tea is full of antioxidants. It also fills you up and hydrates you. The caffeine in tea is also more gentle than caffeine in coffee or sodas. It will give you a little boost of energy but won’t keep you up all night or give you the jitters. The fact that tea fills you up is great to stop overeating. If you are a constant snacker then tea is a great thing to keep at the office for when you need a little something to get you through the day.

Detoxing is something that everyone should do at some point. From drinking water to hitting the sauna, it is important to make sure that you are taking care of your body, inside and out.
